In a shocking move, recently promoted black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and UFC fighter , Nate Diaz has left Cesar Gracie management for Mike Kogan Management . Recently news spread about the Stockton California natives , the Diaz Brothers , having problems with the IRS and this news may have had something to do with the split in management although it may just be speculation.
Nate who is a long time student of Cesar Gracie and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu , and winner of The Ultimate Fighter season 5 will still train under Cesar Gracie as of this publication but we do think that Cesar Gracie may neglect training Nate at 100% now that he is not managing Nates career.
UFC president Dana White has said that Cesar Gracie is a good trainer , “but he plays ( expletive ) games ” as a manager and having had problems in the past with Dana , we aren’t sure if White’s comments had anything to do with the split .
It remains to be seen if the move was a smart one or not, we will see when Nate fights Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 7
